Mission

At Butterfly Hill Salcombe, our mission is to offer you soaps that are soft on the planet and kind to your skin. Every product is mindfully created to reduce our impact on the planet, and maximise our impact on your feel-good factor.

 

What do toothbrushes, soap and shampoo bottles all have in common?

 

They are among the top items found as ocean pollutants, breaking down into harmful microplastics. The personal care industry is slow to evolve its sustainability practices. 

 

Butterfly Hill was born from a desire to do better. With consideration of our impact across our operations, we actively reduce our environmental impact, to support a flourishing ecosystem which we all rely on.

We’re not all talk, check out the steps we’re taking

  • Every soap bottle is 100% recyclable.

  • Glass Refill bottles: we can now offer refill glass bottles too, local repeat customers can organise a top-up visit free of charge.

  • We use no harsh chemicals; certified responsibly sourced Palm oil & vegan. Natural ingredients only.

Our ethical supply chain

  • We use only transparent suppliers who match our values. 

  • Our Suppliers are Cosmos Organic Certified by the Soil Association; meaning no nasties.

  • Our suppliers are also Leaping Bunny Certified; 100% cruelty and animal testing free.

  • Our workshop: nestled in the beautiful south Devon countryside, every order is handmade with care in South Milton.
